The story behind the sound

LS, AKA Thierry Mbaloula, is more than just a voice: he’s a distinctive musical force with cross-generational influence. He has built an enduring musical career spanning nearly three decades, creating multiple albums, EPs and singles, as well as music videos with tens of millions of views. LS’ artistic journey is inextricably linked to the major French R&B group Afrodiziac, whose track ‘Trouve-Moi Un Job’ was the first to be broadcast on French radios, including NRJ and Fun Radio. Their album Ad Vitam Aeternam has become an undisputed reference in R&B music. Later a successful solo artist, notable tracks include ‘J'aime ça’ in collaboration with Big Ali and ‘Nos différences’ with Menzo from the Fonky Family. As the architect of undeniable hits like ‘C'est mieux comme ça’, ‘Mon rayon de soleil’ and ‘Comme on rêve,’ LS’ contributions to Afro-Caribbean music have been equally significant. These successes have given LS the opportunity to showcase his art in France and beyond, from Guadeloupe to Martinique and from Guyana to Europe and Africa. LS wears several hats beyond the stage, including those of producer, composer and sound engineer. This diverse approach has resulted in a multitude of projects covering various musical genres, from zouk to world music, gospel to film music.
