The story behind the sound
DJ Eli Levinson is a globetrotting, Montreal-based producer, also known as Oonga. An active producer and promoter, he works for industry contact event Mundial Montreal, and organises events including monthly reggae cumbia night MTL Pachangón. Levinson co-produced the 2020 Juno Award-winning album Barokan by Djely Tapa alongside Afrotronix, and has released music with labels including Stonetree Records, Shika Shika, and Cosmovision Records.
