The story behind the sound
Cenzo Townshend is an award-winning mix engineer based at Decoy Studio in Suffolk. With over 20 years' experience he has mixed countless best-selling albums and singles from artists including U2, Snow Patrol, Elbow, Florence and the Machine, Kaiser Chiefs, George Ezra, Ben Howard, The Maccabees and many more. Cenzo was awarded Best Mix Engineer for 2009 and 2010 by The Music Producers Guild and was nominated again in 2016, 2017 and 2018. He also mixed the 2018 Mercury Prize-nominated album by Everything Everything, 'A Fever Dream'.
